The forum guidelines are as follows:
- Posting of direct or inferred threats of violence against other people or property that is not your own is completely unacceptable by any user and subject to immediate banning.
- No promotion of illegal activities.
- Thread starters who are promoting their own material will be limited to two personal thread bumps.
- Insulting or personally attacking other users is not allowed by any member. There is very little tolerance for violations, particularly for new members.
- Off-topic posts - Posts that do not relate to the threads are subject to being deleted.
- Topics posted in the wrong sub-forum are subject to being moved or deleted. Please understand the sub-forum division before starting a new topic. Suggestions for new sub-forums are always welcome.
- Any form of antagonizing other members is not allowed by any members.
- If you are to be critical of another user's ideas or message please do so in a respectful manner. It is possible to discuss your points as to why you feel the way you do, ideally you should include alternate suggestions or acknowledge you have none.
- No posting of graphically offensive material.
- Floods of low-value material may be subject to being moved into an alternate sub-forum or deleted. More tolerance will be allowed for established members.
- No posting of others personal contact information.
- Use relevant and descriptive topic titles. Poorly titled messages may be renamed.
- Read the welcoming message for each sub-forum to understand specific guidelines needed to achieve the objective of that sub-forum.
Moderation Process Users are welcome to report activity destructive to the community as specified in the guidelines by using the "Report" link. Topics starters are welcome to report violations or hijackings of their threads. Moderators will investigate reported posts and take appropriate action for guidelines compliance, this can include:
- Editing the post so it conforms to the guidelines.
- Deleteing the post or moving it.
- In some cases, a user will receive a PM warning or "infraction" about a violation of the guidelines. These will be kept private and no other user knows they happened. One main purpose of these is for the site staff to leverage a forum feature that keeps two moderators from dealing with the same issue.
- For extreme violations a ban can be issued (such as for advocating violence) or for obvious spam-bots. If you would like to appeal the decision of a moderator or if you were banned and would like to appeal the ban send an e-mail to forums@raffstar.com
