Raffstar Hits 1,500 Members!
I started this post last night to announce that Raffstar had over 1,000 members sign up, only to wake up this morning and discover that we were nearing 1,500 already!
Thank you to everyone who has joined so far! As you know, Raffstar is 100% supported by advertising revenue: our partners pay for the prizes in exchange for the ads you see around the site. The larger we grow, the better prizes we can offer and the more support we can raise for the charities.
So tell your friends about Raffstar! Yes, technically you’ll have to compete with each other, but wouldn’t you rather it be over a trip to Europe than a $25 gift card?

You can thank Diggnation…that's why I am here, and I'm glad I found it.

I was wondering what sort of precautions are being taken to prevent bots from scamming this system. Right now it seems like a really easy thing to do.

That's good to know. I'm just afraid that once this site gets really big, it will be harder to manually check all the accounts, and easier to game the system. Just try to keep up with all the users as best you can.

We actually have a number of security measures in place that limit the number of tickets per account and the number of accounts per user. We also manually review the system everyday to check for duplicate accounts and suspicious activity.
Additionally, once someone wins a prize they have to verify their information and we check it against previous winners before we ship the prize out.
